Welcome to the Lee Valley Ice Centre community website. On this site you’ll be able to keep up to date with the progress of the new ice centre, find out about the plans, our work with the community and how to get in touch with us.

Lee Valley Regional Park Authority received planning permission from the London Borough of Waltham Forest in October 2020 for the new ice centre. Further permission was then granted by the Mayor of London. It’s been a long journey to get here and we are committed to continue engaging with the communities that we serve through the construction process.

Work is underway to build the new Lee Valley Ice Centre. Over the construction period we’ll be updating this website with the latest information about the works and we’ll also be contactable through email and 24/7 on our hotline:

Once complete by the end of 2022, the new centre will become a community hub with two rinks, both larger than the one in the original venue, meaning lots more time for skating and other ice activities, a café, gym, exercise studios, community space and an array of landscape and ecology improvements. To find out more about the plans, click here.

During construction, we’ll be working between 08:00 – 18:00 Monday – Friday and 08:00 – 13:00 on Saturday. To find out more about the construction programme and the work we’re doing, please click here.

Work to take down the old Ice Centre is already complete!
